Stafford Early Childhood Center received a special recognition at the December 2023 Stafford Municipal School District board meeting for being one of The National Alliance of Black School Educators’ National Demonstration Schools.

Received an honorarium for participating in the application review and discussion of prospective awardees for AAUW’s 2023-2024 Career Development Grant.

Helped awareness for Autism at a 2023 Sugar Land Space Cowboys game by throwing the ceremonial first pitch of the night.

In partnership with the NCAA, Houston Local Sports Authority, and Stafford MSD’s Chief of Schools, Dr. Dawn DuBose, district 3rd grade Ss read 2+ million minutes and made it to the Sweet Sixteen bracket.

The organization selects a state honoree from every part of the country and then name a National Mother of the Year® at the annual National Convention of American Mothers.

Selected as one of four literacy educators across the state of Texas to serve within the 2022-2024 cohort.

Membership in The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is earned, and admission is by invitation only. An invitation to join requires nomination by a chapter. Graduate students must have completed at least 18 graduate hours or the equivalent at their institution and rank in the top 10 percent of their class.

Career Development Grants provide funding to women who hold a bachelor’s degree and are preparing to advance or change careers or re-enter the workforce in education, health and medical sciences, or social sciences. Primary consideration is given to women of color and women pursuing their first advanced degree or credentials in nontraditional fields.

Given at the December and May Commencements, the Lorelle F. Martin Award is presented to the traditional and non-traditional baccalaureate graduates whose studies have been at the University of Mount Olive during full-time, continuous enrollment. These awards are for the highest academic average based on the greatest number of credit hours.

Honorary medal presented to the graduating senior who successfully completes all of the requirements of the Honors Program. Students must complete a minimum of 30 semester hours each academic year, achieve a 3.2 cumulative GPA at the end of each academic year (with the exception of freshmen, who must achieve a 3.0 cumulative GPA); register for and successfully complete at least one class in the Honors Program each semester earning a minimum grade of a C.

Pi Lambda Theta is one of three main education honor societies and professional associations for educators in the United States.

Sigma Tau Delta is an international excelled English honor society for students of English at four-year colleges and universities who are within the top 30% of their class and have a 3.5 GPA or higher.

Competitive scholarship award presented to applicants who exemplified academic excellence and whose parent or guardian met the requirements of service-related disability. Award renewable for up to four years.
